Suspending/Withdrawing from your studies

Please go to the Registration & Curriculum Section to fill out the paper application form or download the countersigning form for leave, withdrawal and resumption of study, and then go to each unit to countersign it and return it to the registration team.

請到註課組填寫紙本申請書或是下載休、退離校會簽單及復學申請書,再至各單位會簽後繳回註課組。

If you are a student due to graduate or thinking about suspending or withdrawing from your studies, please download and fill in the request forms, get forms stamped by required offices, and return them to the Registration & Curriculum Section. We have provided some guidance below. All request forms can be found at https://reg.ttu.edu.tw/p/412-1032-921.php?Lang=zh-tw. Alternatively, you can get the form in person at the Registrar & Curriculum Section.

Suspending your studies休學申請注意事項 

    1. In order to begin the process, please fill in the Suspension Request Form, Parental Consent Form (if you are under 20 years old), Counseling Record, and bring your student ID with you, and then get all documents approved by the required office list in section

填寫休學申請書、家長同意書(限未滿20歲學生)及輔導紀錄表及悠遊卡學生證前往各相關會簽單位辦理離校手續。

    1. Bachelor's degree students must submit the suspension request 2 weeks prior to the final exams. Master’s and Ph.D. degree students must submit the suspension 1 week prior to the final exam.

學士班學生須於期末考前二週前提出申請;碩、博士生須於期末考前一週前提出申請。

    1. Students can request suspension from 1 semester up to 2 academic years. A period or periods of suspension should total no more than 2 academic years.

學生每次得申請休學一學期至二學年。休學累計以二學年為原則。

    1. For completing the school leaving procedures, you have to get the form signed or stamped by Tutor, Supervisor(for master’s program), Chairman, Dean of Academic Affairs, Military Education Office, Extracurricular Activities Section, Student Assistance Section, Library, Health Center, Accounting Office, Cashier Section, Registration Section, and approved by Dean of Academic Affairs.

會簽單位:導師、指導教授(研究所)、系所主任、教務長、軍訓室、課外活動組、生活輔導組、圖書館、健康中心、會計室、出納組、註冊組,並經教務長核定。

    1. Once you complete the above procedures, please hand in all documents to the Registration & Curriculum Section. Your student status is then expelled. You can replace the suspension certificate with a copy of the Suspension Request Form with the embossing seal.

離校手續完成後繳回註課組:取消悠遊卡學生證學生身分;休學申請書影印蓋鋼印可代替休學證明書。


Withdrawing from your courses退學辦理

    1. In order to begin the process, please fill in the Suspension Request Form, Parental Consent Form (if you are under 20 years old), Counseling Record, and bring student ID with you, and then get all documents approved by the required office list in section in 2.4

申請退學者應填寫退學申請單、家長同意書(限未滿20歲學生)及輔導紀錄表,並携帶悠遊卡學生證前往各相關會簽單位辦理離校手續。                                 

    1. For completing the school leaving procedures, you have to get the form signed or stamped by Tutor, Supervisor(for master’s program), Chairman, Dean of Academic Affairs, Military Education Office, Extracurricular Activities Section, Student Assistance Section, Library, Health Center, Accounting Office, Cashier Section, Registration Section, and approved by Dean of Academic Affairs. 

會簽相關單位:導師、指導教授(研究所)、系所主任、教務長、軍訓室、課外活動組、生活輔導組、圖書館、健康中心、會計室、出納組、註冊組,並經教務長核定。

    1. Students may apply for a leave of absence for one semester to two academic years at a time. The total duration of leave of absence is limited to two academic years.

      學生每次得申請休學一學期至二學年。休學累計以二學年為原則

    2. Once you complete the above procedures, please submit all documents to the Registration & Curriculum Section. Your student status is then expelled.

離校手續完成後繳回註課組:取消悠遊卡學生證學生身分。

5. Certificate of Study can be provided.

可申請修業證明書。


Tuition refund policy (based on each academic calendar)  學生經核准休學或退選者,其所繳各項費用退還規定如下

If you submit a request to suspend/withdraw from your course after enrollment, the tuition refund policy is as follows:

如果您在註冊後提出休學學業申請,學費退費政策如下     

1. Students who officially suspend/withdraw from the university prior to of the first semester will be eligible for a refund of tuition fees.

依行事曆規定全校上課開始日之後未逾學期三分之一者,所繳學雜費退還三分之二。

2. Students who officially suspend/withdraw from the university between and  of the first semester will be eligible for a refund of   tuition refund.

逾三分之一未逾三分之二者,所繳學雜費退還三分之一。

3. Students who officially suspend/withdraw from the university later than of the first semester will not be eligible for any tuition fee refund.

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​逾三分之二者,所繳學雜費一律不予退還。
